BBBV 2009 FlyerUPDATED - 15th January 2012

The new Beatles, Blues & Blue Violin cd is now available to buy via the Official BBBV website. The 15 track cd features new re-workings of Beatles, Electric Light Orchestra & blues classics. The BBBV UK Autumn tour is now over with new dates planned for March 2012. Tickets are available via Phil's Official Website.

Phil Bates also has some new bands gigging in Germany and Poland. These include 'World Of ELO', 'ELO Klassik' and 'Blue Violin' with Mik Kaminski again with gigs booked throughout 2012.

Phil is also involved in a new project called 'The Abbey Road Experience' which will endeavour to perform the complete Beatles 'Abbey Road' album note-for-note live on stage along with other songs. The new website (click here) has just been launched with full details of the band line-up, latest news, media information and gigs arranged for March 2012.

The Orchestra - 2009 Spring Tour Flyer

The Orchestra, the band featuring former members of Electric Light Orchestra and ELO Part II, have performed 'all over the world' throughout 2011 including gigs in Germany, Holland, Austria, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Newfoundland and Mexico plus a full Eastern European tour just finished today and featured symphony orchestra backing. The band are also returning to Epcot Disney, Florida in May 2012 for three shows after hugely succesful gigs back in February and October. Check out the News & Gossip page for full details.

Following the sad loss of Kelly Groucutt, the band decided to continue as a tribute to Kelly and Glen Burtnik has joined the band as bass player and vocalist. More details about Glen on the News & Gossip page and also about the 'Evening Without Kelly Groucutt' tribute concert at the Robin 2 in Bilston on 11th May 2009.

Following Phil Bates accident in Uruguay in late October where he broke his fibula and damaged ankle ligaments, Parthenon Huxley returned to The Orchestra line-up for the month long East European tour.

The band currently have copies of the new U.K. edition of 'No Rewind' and a new 2cd set 'Anthology - 20 Years and Counting' featuring tracks from the various albums, tv appearances and live shows by the various line-ups of E.L.O. Part 2 and The Orchestra. Note that the 'Orchestra Live' cd is still available at the bands' gigs. Both 'No Rewind' and 'Orchestra Live' are also available from former band member Parthenon Huxley's Website.
 


Jorge Devincenzi in the Radio Arte studioArgentinian E.L.O. fan Jorge Devincenzi is busy preparing a new series of his radio show charting the history of E.L.O. from the formation of the band via The Move and Idle Race right up to the Zoom album, The Orchestra, and Roy Woods Army - listen via RADIOELO ZOOM.

To conclude the first series of his show, Jorge fulfilled a personal dream of his by interviewing Kelly Groucutt which was broadcast on Radio Arte in his home country. Full details of the radio show, Series 3, Zoom 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009 and the new 2010 series can be found here.

The Move ft Bev Bevan and Trevor BurtonUPDATED - 15th January 2012

The Move ft Bev Bevan and Trevor Burton have gigs planned throughout 2012 including a new series of 'Brum Rocks' gigs. The band line-up is Bev, Trevor Burton, Tony Kelsey, Brian Badhams & Phil Tree. As well as performing the best-known Move hits, the band will also be playing many other songs such as Green Onions, Keep On Runnin' and Back In The USSR.

Bev Bevan and Trevor Burton also perform as part of the 'It's Only Rock 'N' Roll' tour alongside Raymond Froggatt (legendary UK Country/Folk Singer), Geoff Turton (The Rockin’ Berries, Jefferson),  Hartley Cain (The Raymond Froggatt Band) and Danny King (Birmingham’s First Pop Star).
