   29/11/2003 - The Concert for George has finally been released here in the U.K. both on 2dvd and also in a 2cd format. The dvd's feature the complete unedited show on the first disk and the cinema version on disk two. Jeff Lynne carried out the sound mastering on the recordings and what an amazing job he has done.    29/11/2003 - The Orchestra had a very successful time in Santiago, Chile with a live radio performance, television appearances plus a sell-out live concert. Photos, reviews and live audio streams from the radio show are available on the ELO ZOOM website.

   29/10/2003 - The Orchestra will be performing at the Estacion Mapocho in Santiago, Chile on November 14th & 15th. More details at www.horizonte.cl .

   29/10/2003 - Roy Wood 'Outstanding Performer', this is the title of the superb new career retrospective cd released here in the U.K. This fully remastered collection is the first time that original master tapes have been used for a Woody collection and is fully endorsed by Roy Wood himself. There are tracks included from Wizzard, Roy Woods Helicopters, Roy solo material including songs never before issued on cd before such as O.T.T. and Way Beyond The Rain.    29/10/2003 - Richard Tandy & Dave Morgan's album 'Earthrise' has just been re-released in Japan by Vivid Sound Corporation, Cat No. VSNP-355. Track listing is the same as the 1992 U.K. release with the running order changed. The cd can be ordered via the HMV Japan site at www.hmv.co.jp/product/detail.asp?sku=1939262 .    29/10/2003 - Carl Wayne, former lead singer with The Move and current frontman for The Hollies has a new recording out now. 'White Christmas' featuring Et Cetera has been issued in 2 formats, an English version and a German version which is expected to storm into the radio charts in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.    27/10/2003 - Funnyman Jim Davidson will be headlining the upcoming stage version of Aladdin here in the U.K. Of interest to E.L.O. fans is the music featured throughout the show is a specially arranged version of songs by E.L.O. !! More details at www.jimdavidson.org.uk .

   07/10/2003 - Phil Bates has a new cd out now called 'Alter Ego'. Featuring 16 new songs written over the past 4 years since leaving ELO Part 2, it features a number of bluesy tracks plus the live favourite 'Waiting For The Shit To Hit The Fan' - in my opinion this should be released as a single, a guaranteed hit !!    07/10/2003 - Status Quo have a new album out later this month called 'Riffs'. The album features reworkings of many of the bands classic tracks plus cover versions of tracks by Elvis Costello, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Canned Heat and E.L.O.'s 'Don't Bring Me Down'.

   07/10/2003 - Ace Kefford, one of the founder members of The Move, has his 'long-lost' 1968 album 'Ace The Face' released later this month. Featuring bonus tracks too, full details on the album, how to buy, what Ace has been up to all these years can be found at www.acekefford.com .

   06/10/2003 - Phil Bates has just completed a short tour of Germany performing ELO, ELO Part 2 plus songs from his solo albums including his new cd 'Alter Ego' which can be ordered via his official website at www.philbates.nildram.co.uk .

   06/10/2003 - The Concert for George tribute concert performed back in November 2002 at London's Royal Albert Hall will be officially released worlwide towards the end of November. The 2dvd set will feature the complete concert mastered to 5:1 surround sound by Jeff Lynne, plus the cinematic movie release which is currently being shown at selected cinemas throughout Europe and the U.S.A.   20/07/2003 - Phil Bates is to tour Germany throughout September, it has just been announced. He will have a German backing band and they will be playing about 60% ELO & ELO Part 2 songs plus songs from Phil's first two solo cd's and also a selection of songs from his new upcoming third solo album 'Alter Ego'.   01/07/2003 - Following the success of the 'Limited Edition' tour earlier this year, 'Magic' are planning a new tour for 2004. Titled 'A Kind Of E.L.O.', the band would appear to have dropped the Beach Boys part of the set to concentrate on the brilliant music of the Electric Light Orchestra. As this year the band are celebrating the 10th anniversary tour of their Queen show, there are very few dates available for the E.L.O. shows. However a couple of dates have been announced (check out the bands site at www.lmpresents.com for up-to-date news)............
