Northern Dance Society featuring Lauren is to be released as a cd single here in

26/06/2005 - Check out the
Soundclips page for two new remixes. Firstly is a
great 'mash-up' featuring E.L.O.'s 'Last Train To London' and Atomic
Kitten's 'Be With You' mixed by Rikki Rock (check out his website at

The second track is Matt Albright's remix of
'Dancin'', written by John Farrar & sung by Olivia Newton-John in 'Xanadu'.

19/06/2005 - The one-hour special
on BBC Radio 2 featuring the story of Jeff Lynne & The Electric

04/06/2005 - A new remix / reworking of the
E.L.O. track 'Evil Woman' has just been issued on promo 12" vinyl here in
the U.K. The track is credited to Little Thief and the catalogue number is LT
002. The track is a funky house-style mix similar to the recent hit 'Shine'.
A short clip can be downloaded from the soundclips
page. The b-side to the single features a reworking of Ace's 'How Long'.

04/06/2005 - June 25th sees a one-hour special

30/05/2005 - The upcoming E.L.O. 'Very
Best Of' cd will be released worldwide and will have a major advertising

30/05/2005 - The Orchestra have
announced some new gigs including one in Lucerne, Switzerland on 24th September
for Amnesty International. Full details at

10/05/2005 - I have been kindly sent a couple
of images featuring artwork designed for the 2001 E.L.O. album 'Zoom'.
The artwork was created by designer Brian Bottcher but was ultimately rejected.
Brian has created a number of sleeve designs for Dreamworks Records artists and
also a Kinks Tribute cd on Rykodisk.

are courtesy of Brian and as they are unused they are therefore not official
images.
24/04/2005 - Just added a great new remix of

24/04/2005 - 'Inside The Electric Light

30/03/2005 - Live Element have a 2-track
12" vinyl promotional release out now. The band have re-worked 'Don't Bring Me
Down' into a classy 21st Century Club classic. The catalogue number is GG1062. I have uploaded a couple of short
samples of the 'Main Club Banger Mix' and 'Stereo Style Dub Mix' to the
soundclips page.

number of Birmingham bands who have donated tracks which is in aid of
'Headway West Midlands' brain injury charity. There is a new Idle Race track
(not featuring Jeff Lynne) and a Trevor Burton Band track also. Thanks to Martin

24/03/2005 - I have just received my copy of
the new ELO dvd as described in the news of 16/02/2005. The disk features
some very rare footage of the band performing live at 'Set Of Six' on Granada tv
in 1972, 'Colour Me Pop' from 1969, 'Beat Club' from 1969 and a stunning version
of 10538 Overture from a programme called '2-G's & The Pop People' broadcast on
LWT back in 1972. Note that this dvd will be available from
www.amazon.co.uk for only £7.49 plus
postage from 4th April.

The dvd features a variety of music
critics telling the story of the early days of the band from The Move up to
Roy
Wood leaving after the recording of the first ELO album.

04/03/2005 - The Orchestra have just completed
a short tour of Argentina & Chile. The band appeared on national television
across South America during their appearance at the Vina Del Mar 2005 Festival
in Santiago. A couple of images are taken from Chilean Canal 13 & EMOL websites.

16/02/2005 - The Orchestra will be

entered the U.K. Singles chart at Number 6 this evening, so here's hoping for a
few more E.L.O. mentions in the national media. The cd single has 5 different
mixes, plus the video and also you are able to compile youre own mobile

16/01/2005 - A stunning new Megamix which
merges the classic E.L.O. track 'Believe Me Now' with the Scissor Sisters 'Mama'
has been created by Instamatic. The track is by Electric Scissor Orchestra
and is called 'Mama Believe Me Now'. I have just uploaded it to the

performed 'Shine' on this weeks 'Top Of The Pops' on BBC1 TV. Even more amazing
was the namecheck given to E.L.O. and a 30 second clip of the original

Things' magazine, an American publication dedicated to 1960's Beat and
Psychelia, features a couple of articles about ex-Move artists Carl Wayne

10/01/2005 - P. Hux will be featured on
the front page of the iTunes website beginning Tuesday 11th January. There will
be a week-long campaign featuring an 8-song sampler of Universal Digital's
initial eight artists for only 99 cents. 'I Loved Everything' is the featured

Golden Shot' was shown on UK tv channel Challenge on 30th December. This
particular show featured the late Carl Wayne performing 'San Diego' live
