just received an excellent video produced for tv in the Ukraine called 'Two Days With ELO
Part II'. It is an excellent production running for about 50 minutes and feaures live
footage of the band earlier this year in Kiev. Live concert footage is mixed with old ELO
concert and video footage. A full review will appear shortly but for more information

'Friends & Relatives' double cd set has finally been released here in the U.K. Costing
£14.99 it has a very strange mixture of artists. Once again I feel it is a missed
opportunity to hear some of the unreleased ELO tracks hidden away in the vaults. All of
the ELO tracks are taken from the 2 recent Live at Winterland and Wembley releases. To see

release date for the 'Friends and Relatives' 2cd set on Eagle Records here in the U.K. is
May 24th with tracks taken from the Wembley and Winterland live releases plus many other
tracks not seen on cd until now.
11/05/1999 - The ELO
Part 2 gig featuring the Halle Orchestra performing with the band and also performing
'Symphonic Beatles' conducted by Lou Clark at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester last
night (10th May) has been recorded by BBC Radio 2 for broadcast on July 24th at 8pm.
11/05/1999 - The
long-awaited release on cd of Kelly Groucutt's solo album 'Kelly' is imminent and it
should be in the shops here in the U.K. in late May. Bonus tracks from his time with
Player are also included.
11/05/1999 - There is
a 'snippet' of the latest ELO Part 2 recording with Jose Feliciano available on the
sound-clips page. The song is a fantastic reworking of the classic 'Last Train To London'
and should hopefully be released as single in the coming months. This song is a sure-fire
Top 40 hit given the right promotion!!!
10/05/1999 - The
details about the ELO Part 2 and Jose Feliciano collaboration on 'Last Train To London'
are as follows - there exists about 20 promo CD's with custom labels with full credits and
media-relevant details, produced solely for the UK. The CD contains three versions of Last
Train: 1 - ELO PART II with Jose Feliciano 2 - ELO PART II only 3 - Extended
Dance Mix with ELO PART II & Jose.

weeks sound-clip features a rarely heard collaboration between Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood.

01/05/1999 - The new
recording of 'Last Train To London' featuring Jose Feliciano will get its world premiere
on BBC Radio 2 here in the U.K. over the next few days. Exact date and time will be posted
as soon as possible.
28/04/1999 - Bev
Bevan is to appear as a guest on BBC Radio 2 tonight at 10.30pm on the Lynn Parsons Show.
This was cancelled due to 'unforeseen circumstances' but will be rescheduled for later in
the bands U.K. tour.
28/04/1999 - The
up-coming ELO 2cd set 'Friends and Relatives' on Eagle Records has been delayed by a month
and will not be released until the end of May at the earliest. This is due to errors with
the sleeve notes and question marks surrounding the rights to certain songs!!

performances of Roy Wood and Kelly Groucutt on the BBC cookery show 'Cant Cook Wont Cook'
were hysterical. The attempts by both of them to cook something was dismal - Roy could not
even switch the gas hob on !!
08/04/1999 - ELO Part
2 performed 'Sweet Talkin Woman' on last nights lottery show but their excellent
performance was 'spoiled' by the poor sound mix by the BBC.
05/04/1999 - Two new
ELO related sites have been added to the links page including a very interesting site
which features a group called The Chads which featured the one and only Jeff Lynne!! There
is also a chance to download the groups first ever recording made with Jeff, the classic
instrumental 'Green Onions'.
04/04/1999 - News of
a re-released cd single by ELO Part 2. 'One More Tomorrow' is released on 10th April on
the SPV label. Catalogue number - SPV44083. The two bonus tracks are 'Mr Blue Sky' and
'Telephone Line' and all tracks are from the 'One Night - Live In Australia' concert.
04/04/1999 - This

tv viewers its great news for Part 2 fans. On Tuesday April 6th on BBC1 at 11.25am, Kelly
Groucutt and Roy Wood will be appearing on the 'Cant Cook Wont Cook' cookery show along
with their daughters. The following night, Wednesday April 7th at 20.45pm, E.L.O. Part 2
will perform live on the National Lottery Live show on BBC1 with a nationwide audience of
millions. SET YOUR VIDEOS!!!!!!

once again has been on tv a couple of times this week. Earlier tonight he featured on Top
Of The Pops 2 along with Bev in the Move with 'Fire Brigade'. He later appeared on a
programme on Channel 4 featuring the top 10 glam acts of all time based on single releases
and chart position. Wizzard appeared at number 7 and Roy talking about the 70's glam era.
21/03/1999 - This

21/03/1999 - News of
a couple of ELO releases have just reached me. Firstly is another release of 'Balance Of
Power' at Sony mid-price (Catalog no - 4685762). Secondly is a much more interesting 2cd
collection called ELO - 'Friends and Relatives' due for release here in the U.K. on 26th
April (Catalog no - EDGCD091). Further details to follow in a few weeks time.
20/03/1999 - Roy Wood
featured as one of the guest panelists on the tv pop 'quiz' 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks'
this week. Two of the funniest moments during the show included Roy attempting to 'mount'
team captain Phil Jupitus!! and also Roy and Phil's attempt at the intro to ELO's Livin'
Thing which nobody on the planet could possibly have guessed!!!!

couple of 'new' ELO Part 2 releases have surfaced recently. Firstly, released on February
19th here in the U.K. is a single cd from the One Night concert called 'Best Of Electric
Light Orchestra II'. Catalogue number is D0852572. The other release is called 'Electric
Light Orchestra Part II In Concert' (Brilliant, BT 33006, Europe 1999) and has 17 tracks
again taken from the One Night release.

great Roy Wood featured briefly on This Is Your Life tv programme here in the U.K. earlier
this week. The programme was dedicated to Suzi Quatro and a number of guests from the
1970's glam era appeared on the show with Roy saying a few words.

06/02/1999 - The
classic ELO image from the A New World Record sleeve has turned up in a very strange music
video which was broadcast on Viva 2 music channel on the Eutelsat satellite this week. The
house/disco group Egoexpress track 'Telefunken' has a video with hundreds of different
images and they have included a slightly altered version of the ELO image with EGO
instead!!

Gold Radio here in the U.K. have carried out a poll for listeners to vote on their
favourite artists and songs of all time. ELO featured quite strongly in both polls. They
were 25th in the artists poll and had 6 entries in the top 1000 songs with Livin Thing
