21/12/1999 - Because
of the current uncertainty about the future of ELO Part 2, Eric
Troyer issued the following statement on December 19th 1999...
"To the Fans - We apologize to the fans who are waiting
for word of the future of this group of musicians, and we ask that
you be patient. We are actively and currently working to resolve
the uncertainty in our futures, and hope that we have your support
in whatever we do. While your dedicated interest is at stake for
yourselves, this is our livelihood, and the questions that are
unresolved have a huge impact on our lives. Thus, we aren't going
to settle for any uncertainty. I know this is vague, and it must
be so, because of the current situation. Please bear with us. All
the best, Eric".

21/11/1999 - Further to last weeks news that Bev was quitting touring
with ELO Part 2, this was the 'official' statement as read out by Parthenon
Huxley on stage last Saturday night in Atlantic City.......'Ladies and gentlemen, music lovers, friends and fans of ELO and ELO PT II,
we have an announcement to make. One among us in the band has always had it in mind that upon reaching a certain age he would stop being a member of
ELO and "Move" on to other endeavors. With his birthday only 12 days away, that time has arrived and tonight will be his final show. We, the remaining
members of the band will continue to tour and record without interruption. But for now, will you please rise and pay tribute to his 48
(38) year legacy... The backbeat of the band... the one, the only... Mr. Bev Bevan...".

article from The San Diego Union -Tribune...Oct 3, 1999 - 'When making his new album, "Run Devil Run," Paul McCartney decided to
celebrate the vintage rock 'n' roll of his youth and the no-nonsense approach to recording often favored by The Beatles...
During his Los Angeles visit, McCartney and his band performed a spirited mini-concert at a benefit for PETA. They also recorded a
version of Buddy Holly's "Maybe Baby" at the Capitol Records studios, with former ELO leader Jeff Lynne producing. It will be the title
track to a film of the same name by English comic turned director Ben Elton, a McCartney friend.'
